Jeremiah Fitzgerald, age 30, address unknown, was found by officers around 4:30 p.m., Monday, Aug. 16 in Hartford in the area of 580 Albany Ave., Lt. Aaron Boisvert said.
Hartford Police officers were dispatched to the area of 580 Albany Avenue on a report of a person stabbed. Upon arrival, officers found Fitzgerald suffering from stab wounds.
Officers immediately began providing medical aid until the arrival of EMS Fitzgerald was transported to St. Francis Hospital, where he was initially listed in critical condition.
He died about eight hours later from his injuries, police said.
His death was the 27th homicide in Hartford this year.
